CPAC Panel on Cancel Culture Cancels Conservative Panelist

CPAC, the Conservative Political Action Conference, has cancelled the appearance of the rapper, “Young Pharaoh”, over his anti-Semitic views and posts. Ironically, the theme for CPAC this year is “America Uncancelled”.

Is this hypocrisy? Some would say obviously. When the organizers of CPAC learned of Young Pharaoh’s anti-semitism and offensive posts, they deemed those views to be too extreme and not worthy of being expressed on their platform. They claimed on Twitter than an unnamed speaker “will not be participating in our conference” after learning of their “reprehensible views”.

“We have just learned that someone we invited to CPAC has expressed reprehensible views that have no home with our conference or our organization. The individual will not be participating at our conference.”

It was later discovered that the cancelled speaker was Young Pharaoh, a rapper who was set to speak on a panel about “Cancel Culture” hours before Trump’s appearance.

“all the censorship & pedophilia on social media is being done by Israeli Jews

all of these big tech [companies], media, & social media platforms are controlled by CCP & Israel through Jewish CEO & corrupt Democrats

-Young Pharaoh

It appears to be that the organizers are comfortable with conspiracy theories regarding the election or the spread of misinformation regarding Climate Science. The multiple panels over election fraud and “stop the steal” theory are still present and it should be expected for many of the speakers and panelists to refute the events of the January 6th riot at the Capitol Building or turn the blame towards ‘antifa’. CPAC has even moved from Maryland to Florida in order to avoid the stricter Covid-19 Guidelines.

But those conspiracy theories and views are fine. The theories pushed by Trump, who’s literal golden statue is on display at CPAC, are accepted. The rationale is that Trump’s base, the MAGA Crowd, have become synonymous with Conservatism.

Young Pharaoh has made multiple anti-semitic posts, claiming the Chinese Communist Party, Jewish CEO’s, and American Democrats control Big Tech Companies. He’s also spoke in support of Polygamy, equating it with LGBT rights. So his views are not limited to anti-semitism and there was something that attracted the attention of CPAC organizers that didn’t warrant being Cancelled at first.

‘THIS IS #CENSORSHIP AT ITS BEST! ALL BECAUSE I SAID “I DO NOT BELIEVE IN THE VALIDITY OF #JUDAISM AND AM WILLING TO PLACE $50,000 ON MY SELF TO DEBATE THE TOP #JEWISH RABBI.”‘

– Young Pharaoh

But calling Judaism invalid was the line that CPAC was unwilling to cross. This isn’t the first person to be Cancelled by CPAC. Milo Yiannopoulos was also dropped after allegedly defending pedophiliac behavior. There’s a lesson to be learned from this.

Even those that complain about “Cancel Culture” have their own range of unacceptable speech and beliefs that is worth “Cancelling”.
