77 Electoral Votes a Real Possibility if Justin Amash Runs for President

The 2020 Presidential Election is shaping up to be one of the most interesting in this country’s history which is masked behind the coronavirus pandemic. With most people staying home, working from home, and glued to social media the campaign for President is going to take a different turn. It will take an even bigger turn if Justin Amash jumps in the race for President.

The name recognition behind Amash and the cross over appeal he brings to the race gives him the real possibility of making waves in a dynamic race to date. Both Biden and Trump have high disapproval ratings and the American people have been hungry for something different.

When looking at the Electoral Map there is a real possibility that Amash could garner enough electoral votes to deny the major party candidates the number of votes they need to win the Presidency and effectively sending the election to the House.

Congressman Amash has enough support on both sides of the chamber that it could be a real possibility for him to be elected by the House. With his change to the independent designation and his support of Trump’s impeachment he has shown that he is a voice of reason that can draw from both parties.

If the Amash campaign focuses on a select number of states there is a way to draw those voters to his side. The states selected have a trend of being independent minded and with this pandemic can be swayed to a popular candidate like Amash.

We would argue that this would be a good thing for the country. Until a third party has the ability to make a dent in national politics we will keep reading polls that Americans yearn for another option. Until the barrier is broken we will continue with the tyranny of the two major parties. Amash has the ability to be that unifying figure and a great option for Americans looking for something other then Trump or Biden.
