Free Market Steps Up When Government Fumbles; Apple Donates 2 Million Face Masks to Coronavirus Fight

The U.S. Government and the Trump Administration have fumbled the efforts to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus and it is apparent everyday that the President of the United States is not suited to lead the fight against this virus. He has lost control during press briefings and the leading experts on the stage with him and shaking their heads in disgust. The nation is short medical supplies for hospitals and Americans are looking for answers from the elected government. As of now those answers are not coming through.

However, it has taken the free market and willing private companies to lead the way and come through with the needed materials when the government sits on their hands expressing the necessity.

From Apple Insider:

Announced during Saturday’s White House daily briefing, Pence told the media Apple had pledged to donate 2 million industrial face masks, which will be provided to healthcare workers in areas hardest hit by the coronavirus. Pence went on to ask for other companies to provide other donations of medical supplies, as well as those of smaller business and individuals who may have supplies on hand.

“It’s a great time to go to your storeroom. If you have N95 masks, if you’ve got 100 of them, if you’ve got 10,000 of them, load them up and drive them to your local hospital,” said Pence, approximately 50 minutes into the press briefing.

When the government is desperate because they have the inability to manage this crisis the will of the free market steps in and takes care of business. This proves that private charity and private business does a more effective job at governing their our own government.

This crisis has shown that socialism and central planning are no match to capitalism.
