Iraq parliament votes to expel U.S. military

In a show of unity Iraq’s parliament has voted to expel the U.S. military from their country.

Lawmakers in the Iraqi parliament voted Sunday in favor of a resolution that calls for ending foreign military presence in the country. The resolution’s main aim is to get the U.S. to withdraw some 5,000 U.S. troops present in different parts of Iraq.

Following the attack by the United States at the Baghdad Airport that killed Iran’s top General concerns are rising at the possibility of war between the United States and Iraq’s neighbor Iran.

The United States needs to draw down its military presence around the world. For too long we have caused problems with our presence in places like the Middle East and now with a trigger happy President like Trump he is putting American lives and assets in extreme danger with his flawed foreign policy approach.
