Libertarian Party State Senator Moves onto General Election After Primary

Nebraska State Senator Laura Ebke moved onto the general election last night after finishing second in Nebraska’s top-two primary for the 32nd district. Governor Pete Ricketts hand-picked candidate Al Riskowski finished in third place and will not be moving on to the general election in November.

Senator Ebke who was initially elected as Republican back in 2014 switched her party affiliation to the Libertarian Party in 2016 citing her concerns after the Republican Governor Pete Ricketts criticized members of the State Senate for not towing the party line.

Nebraska is unique in the aspect that it is unicameral (A single legislative body) and is also nonpartisan. Last nights primary was a nonpartisan race that has the top two candidates move on to the general election. With the Libertarian Party trying to prove you can win elections under its banner. Last night was a good start.

  1. If you made millions from being a politician, reporter, or actor, would you feel successful for working hard or would you feel like a sell-out for being a Deep State puppet?
